Am I slow? Does anyone else not get/enjoy closet couture?
Back in 1995 when I first saw "Clueless" I was completely enamored with her computer based closet program. Still am actually. You'd think with all the crazy technological advances that have been made this past decade someone would have cashed in? Either way, I'm still on the hunt! If anyone has a recommendation, I'll take it.
Also, whatever happened to weardrobe?
And no, I don't consider polyvore an equivalent! As if! I like, totally need someone to tell me when I'm mismatched!

is that really a "mismatch"? i kinda like it... haha.Until then though, randomly pulling combinations from my closet will have to do!

haha...I love this! There are a few sites that have tried to come up with a similar concept...(Go chic or Go Home) along with some others, but the truth is I don't have time to take pictures of all my clothes, and then come up with outfits on the computer...I'd rather pull things out and hang them up beside each other...takes much less time that taking pictures of a gazillion things!! But yes I'm totally dreaming of the day that I can get my hands on Chers closet concept!

ReplyDeleteI know, I don't get the appeal of all those sites either. Things that will look cute laying flat together, a lot of times don't work together when I put them on because of their proportions, layering, etc. So I just have to try it all on anyway! I love the chambray and red, I can't believe that shirt is from Wal-Mart, it's so cute!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! I remember being OBSESSED with that computer program too! A couple years after Clueless came out, a few computer games came out that tried to be similar. (Virtual closet games). I think Clueless (the tv show brand) even came out with one. Oh lordy.
