Cleaning Out My Closet

I’m sure we all have those mornings – you know the ones, where you stand in front of the plethora of clothes that are over flowing out of your closet and mutter to yourself that you have absolutely nothing to wear. Yup, that happened to me this morning. The realization that I came to was kind of a strange one. Could it be that I have TOO MANY clothes? That my vision is so swamped with items that bore me or that never looked that great on me in the first place but were an impulsive buy due to an incredibly good price?

The solution? A clothing swap party. But how does one organize this? Do I book a room somewhere and hope people show up? Do I throw it at home? Has anyone done this before? What are the costs of pulling off something like this? Advice please!

  1. I've heard of this idea but never heard of anyone doing it. It sounds great, although in my case it wouldn't work 'cause my size is too much bigger than everyone else. Good luck with it, and congrats on the new job!

  2. I’ve always wanted to do one of these but a lot of my friends are all different shapes and sizes and I don’t want anyone to feel left out. I think I’m going to arrange an accessory swap! 

  3. I felt like that way before where I don't seem like I have anything to wear yet I have a closet full of clothes. haha I've never done a clothes swap before... I think I would do it more casually and swap clothes with friends but not really at once. Let me know how your clothes swap goes!

Btw, I'm hosting a jewelry giveaway on my blog and I would love it if you entered! http://www.fashionaddictgirl.com

  4. I have been there. Looking at that overflooded closet, yet nothing to wear.
    Probably still am ...
I have never organized a swap and have no idea, but I guess I would do it at home, with friends and have each friend bring a friend.
Also have each girl bring several garments (at least 5) and try for everyone to have a similar size...
